Anyway I thought I’d share with you my advent calendar… its awesome!!

Well seeing as winter is now closing in (already!) our extreme activities have migrated indoors and calshot is the new reflex on a Friday night….. It was Ryan’s first time on the wall so we treated him very gently.. hahaha imagine if we were like that It was Lee’s 3rd night, he’s still getting to grips with doing the routes with correct colours…

Well as I’m sure you’re all aware, several things have been keeping me from updates this year – the main one being major knee surgery, which I’m still recovering from, the other being lack of a decent camera due to a Christmas Eve based incident

Anyway, on to this post.. I’m currently fixing up my bike, a 1999 GSXR 600 SRAD, which I got from Mr B last year. The main things that need doing are sorting the paint, as the fairings were rather scratched, and getting a nice exhaust and a new screen (all black!). It’s also been a massive learning experience as I know nothing about anything mechanical!

So far, I’ve got the panels off, cleaned the chain, and started to sand the panels down to be resprayed, pics below of bike in it’s original state (well, as I got it) and a WIP of the panels.

Like I could get any other colour of cast!

Just found out that Major Dick Winters (leader of the “Band of Brothers”) died on the 2nd Jan. He was a truly inspirational man and leader of men, R.I.P.
Major Winters R.I.P

If you don’t know who I’m talking about, buy “Band of Brothers” on DVD or Blu Ray and prepare to be amazed.

Last night was the night of nights! 11 people turned out to help raise the stolen money – those of you who didn’t make it I hope cheques are in the post to the RBL

Many thanks to Councillor Royston Smith for helping us out getting the permit to collect at such short notice.

Also, the generosity of the general public should never be underestimated, thanks to all the shoppers who were out last night!!

And finally, the tally!

4 hrs of collecting got us £1412.77 – which is absolutely amazing! Well done everyone! oh and… the councillor informed us that Barratt also donated £1000!! Which brings us to £2412.77 – only £587.23 short of our target £3000, hopefully those postal donations will top that up to the magic number.

Again, thanks to all that took part, and the lovely staff at the RBL for providing food and soup for us to warm up with!
